Private University Ranking: ASEAN (Private University Ranking: ASEAN) of AppliedHE is the first ranking exclusively for private universities in Southeast Asia. First launched in 2022, the ranking highlights teaching and learning quality, employability, and research, as well as the level of community involvement, internationalization, and reputation of private higher education institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n Private universities have always played an important role in increasing access to higher education in the region, providing innovative learning methods, and improving graduate employability. Discussing the need for private university rankings, AppliedHE Ratings Advisory Board Chairman and City University Council and Court Secretary, Dr. Kevin Downing commented that: \u201cPrivate universities are different from public universities, and the strengths of private universities are not reflected in the existing university rankings. The AppliedHE Private University Rankings is, therefore, a welcome addition to the Asian and global ranking landscape.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n In the Private University Ranking: ASEAN+ 2023 announced at an online event at 4 pm (Vietnam time) on February 23, Thanh Do University entered the ranking for the first time with 19th place out of 24 institutions participating in the ranking. Along with Duy Tan University, Thanh Do University is the second representative of Vietnam in this ranking. This year, the ranking includes several establishments from countries that are broader than Asia Pacific, not just Southeast Asia.<\/span><\/p>\n
